CHerPP in Rome!

CHerPP is one of six projects funded by the  Culture and Heritage Capital (CHC) call and it is important that exchanges occur across them. With this in mind, in January CherPP project lead Dr Tamara West was invited to take part in the three day research meeting of the CAVEAT – Triangulation of Values Using Different Methods project. The meeting was hosted at the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) in Rome. The agenda interactively explored the innovative methods being utilised by CAVEAT in their research into the value(s) of the stock and flows of a complex historic asset (historic high streets and neighbourhoods).

On the 15 January 2025, all of the CHC project leads were invited to join CAVEAT’s lead, Professor Patrizia Riganti, alongside representatives from DCMS and ICCROM, to take part in a roundtable on “Unlocking the Benefits of Cultural Heritage for All”. Hosted by the Italian Ministry of Culture in Rome, it took place in the beautiful Sala Spadolini. Many thanks to the CAVEAT project for extending the invite, and for this opportunity for the projects to share their insights, approaches and challenges.
